Message from the Founder

This foundation is dedicated to Lt. Trent A. Kirk, a fallen firefighter, loving husband and father of two amazing daughters who was killed June 15, 2003, Father’s Day, battling a fire at the Family Dollar in Frayser, TN.

To honor the 15th year of Lt. Kirk's passing, Our Fallen Heroes Foundation has recently established the Lt. Trent A. Kirk Scholarship Fund. The Foundation will give away three scholarships annually to the children and step-children of those fallen in the line of duty and to a deserving student at Trent's alma mater, Raleigh-Egypt High School.

Lt. Kirk was known in the community for his generosity, friendship, and dedication to his loved ones.  He put others before himself. Education was a priority for Lt. Kirk and Our Fallen Heroes Foundation continues to honor his legacy of generosity and dedication to his community through this scholarship fund.

We are also excited to announce that our 3rd Annual Memorial Ride will take place on Saturday, June 16th. We hope you will mark your calendars and join us for this event.

Thank you for your continued support of our work.

Donna Kirk, Founder

Lt. Kirk was working overtime at the Station 31 the night of the fire.  His assigned station was Station 10 on the corner of West Parkway and Pennsylvania. The city dedicated an Avenue on his behalf.
